Your Optometrist
Dr. Catherine Kristynik
A native of Brenham, Texas, Dr. Catherine Kristynik is a second-generation optometrist who received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Kristynik earned her Doctorate of Optometry degree with Magna Cum Laude honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2017. During her optometric education, Dr. Kristynik completed externships at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System (San Antonio, TX) and Cedar Springs Eye Clinic (Dallas, TX). She trained with cataract, vitreoretinal, corneal, oculoplastic surgeons, as well as glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, and diabetic specialists.
Dr. Kristynik is a therapeutic optometrist and glaucoma specialist who has special interests in primary vision care, specialty contact lens fittings, problem-focused eye exams, pediatric eye care, and pre- and post-operative care. She has a strong passion for providing personable, thorough, and educative care to all of her patients. Her favorite part about being an optometrist is getting to know patients and the daily challenge of compiling an individualized treatment plan for each patient, especially lifestyle prescribing with corrective lenses.
Dr. Kristynik is a member of the Harris County Optometric Society, Texas Optometric Association, Ocular Nutrition Society, American Optometric Association and American Academy of Optometry.
Outside the practice, she enjoys life with her husband, Stan, and their daughters, Gwen and Demi. She values time spent at church, enjoys reading, and attending concerts.
Dr. Jessica Watson
Dr. Jessica Watson was raised in Conroe, Texas, where her passion for optometry was sparked at the age of 13 after receiving her first pair of soft contact lenses!
She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Medical Humanities with a minor in Biology from Baylor University, then went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Watson is certified by the Texas Optometry Board as a Therapeutic Optometrist and Glaucoma Specialist. Her clinical training included externships at Northside Eye Care Center in Fort Worth and Oakhill Eye Care in Austin, where she gained extensive experience in ocular disease management, glaucoma, pediatrics, post-operative care, dry eye treatment, and contact lenses.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Watson enjoys reading, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and spending quality time with her family, friends, and standard poodle. She is excited to return to her hometown and looks forward to providing compassionate, personalized care while helping patients maintain and improve their vision for years to come.

Jamie
Practice Manager | Optical Lead | ABO & CPO Certified
Jamie has been an integral part of the Blinc Eye Care family since 2021 and proudly serves as our Practice Manager and Optical Lead. As a dual-certified professional (ABO and CPO), she brings years of experience and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. From leading the team and managing daily operations to helping patients find the perfect eyewear, Jamie is committed to making every visit to Blinc a positive and personalized experience.
Known around the office as our “frame and lab guru,” Jamie oversees everything from custom eyewear orders and quality control to staying current on the latest lens technology and innovations. She works closely with our optical laboratories to ensure every pair of glasses meets Blinc’s high standards for quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship.
Although her responsibilities have grown over the years, Jamie’s favorite part of her job is still connecting with patients. She believes the best eye care starts with listening, building relationships, and treating every patient like family. Her goal is to create a welcoming, small-town atmosphere where every person who walks through our doors feels valued, cared for, and confident in their vision.
Outside the office, Jamie enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. You’ll often find her cheering on her son at Montgomery High School sporting events or in the barn helping her daughter prepare her FFA show goats. She also enjoys tackling home improvement projects, playing a friendly game of darts with her husband, and making memories with family and friends.
Jamie is grateful to serve the Montgomery community and considers it a privilege to help patients see—and feel—their very best.
Britney
Assistant Office Manager | Insurance Specialist
Britney has been a valued member of the Blinc Eye Care family for the past three years, bringing with her an extensive background in vision insurance and patient care. As our Assistant Office Manager and Insurance Specialist, she plays a vital role in ensuring every patient’s experience is seamless from the moment they walk through our doors.
As the friendly face greeting patients at the front desk, Britney keeps our daily schedule running smoothly while helping patients maximize their vision benefits. Her knowledge of vision insurance allows her to guide patients through their coverage with confidence, making sure they understand their benefits and receive the most value from their visit. Her attention to detail and commitment to exceptional service help create a stress-free experience for every patient.
One of Britney’s greatest strengths is her ability to connect with people. Whether she’s talking sports, sharing travel stories, or learning about what her patients are passionate about, she has a way of making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated. She truly embodies Blinc Eye Care’s mission of “Where Sight Meets Service,” creating meaningful relationships that keep patients coming back year after year.
Outside of the office, Britney loves spending time with her family and cheering on her children through every stage of life. From evenings at the softball fields and driving lessons to soaking up the sweet moments with a new baby in the family, she treasures making memories with the people she loves most.

Emily has been a valued member of the Blinc Eye Care family for the past year, bringing with her more than eight years of experience in the optical field. She has a true passion for people and believes the perfect pair of glasses should not only help you see your best but also make you feel confident every time you put them on.
With extensive knowledge in eyewear and lens technology, Emily enjoys helping patients find frames that complement their style, selecting the best lenses for their unique vision needs, and even edging many of our lenses in-house. Her attention to detail and commitment to quality ensure every patient leaves with eyewear they love.
Coming from a large family filled with love, laughter, and togetherness, Emily naturally brings those same values into everything she does at Blinc. Her mission is for every patient to leave feeling like they aren’t just a customer—they’re part of the Blinc family. Her warm personality, genuine kindness, and passion for helping others make every visit feel welcoming and personal.
Outside of the office, Emily enjoys spending time with the love of her life, Chris, and their four-legged son, Kylo. Whether they’re exploring locally owned coffee shops or taking Kylo to make new friends at the dog park, they’re always looking for their next adventure together. Around the office, Emily is also known for keeping everyone laughing with her spot-on voice impressions—especially her hilarious Jennifer Coolidge impression and her uncanny impression of her dad!

Ryleigh
Lead Optometric Technician | Contact Lens Specialist
Ryleigh has been a valued member of the Blinc Eye Care family for more than two years and serves as our Lead Optometric Technician and Contact Lens Specialist. She is passionate about helping patients experience the freedom and confidence that contact lenses can provide. Whether you’re trying contacts for the very first time, learning insertion and removal, being fitted for multifocal lenses, or exploring myopia management, Ryleigh is there to guide and encourage you every step of the way.
Known as one of our biggest cheerleaders, Ryleigh is committed to helping every patient feel comfortable, supported, and confident throughout their contact lens journey. Patients frequently compliment her caring nature, patience, and ability to make them feel at ease. Her goal is simple—to help every patient achieve their best vision while making the process enjoyable and stress-free.
As our Lead Technician, Ryleigh is also passionate about mentoring others. She takes great pride in training new technicians and helping them build the skills and confidence needed to provide exceptional patient care. In addition to her clinical role, she brings creativity to Blinc by managing our social media, sharing the heart of our practice and helping connect with our community beyond the exam room.
Outside of the office, Ryleigh loves traveling and embracing this exciting season of life as she makes her new apartment feel like home. She enjoys spending time with friends, believes music has a way of healing the soul, and finds strength and purpose in her faith in Jesus. Her joyful spirit, compassion, and dedication make her an invaluable part of the Blinc Eye Care family.
Lanie
Optometric Technician
Born and raised in Montgomery, Lanie is proud to call this community home. She graduated from Montgomery High School before attending Tarleton State University and later returned to the town she loves. Passionate about exceptional patient care, Lanie is dedicated to making every person who walks through our doors feel welcomed, comfortable, and cared for.
Lanie has a special place in her heart for caring for children. She understands that eye exams can sometimes feel intimidating for little ones, so she goes above and beyond to create a fun, relaxed environment where kids feel safe, confident, and at ease. Her warm smile, positive attitude, and spunky personality have made her a favorite among patients of all ages.
As one of our Optometric Technicians, Lanie enjoys building relationships with patients and helping make every visit to Blinc Eye Care as smooth and enjoyable as possible. She loves being part of a team that treats patients like family and is honored to serve the community she has always called home.
When she’s away from the office, you’ll most likely find Lanie spending time with her four-legged best friend, Winston, or enjoying a girls’ night out with friends, great music, and plenty of laughter.
